Months Later

Many clubs or businesses hold monthly meetings. People must pay their bills on a monthly basis. So, what exactly is one month?

Months can have different numbers of days. Some have 30 and some have 31. The month of February usually has 28 days, but every four years it has 29. Because of this, when you say, "I'll do that a month from today," you may mean different things.

Usually, a "month from today" means the same calendar date in the next month. For example, if today is June 16, a month from today would be July 16. However, if the date falls on the 29th, 30th, or 31st of the month, you may need to give the specific date that you mean.

Because of the fact that months have different numbers of days, many people prefer to mark off time by weeks instead of months. Four weeks is always 28 days, which is approximately one month.
